When you have a 50-50 chance of finding a satisfactory solution to some problem you’re facing; i.e., you have a 50-50 chance of winning, most people feel hopeless—that’s how strange the human mind is! When we are hopeful of overcoming some difficulty, then we won’t be fearful. When facing problems, it’s extremely important to remain hopeful.
I’ve noticed that some people are very optimistic and always approach problems with a positive attitude. As a result, such people are relatively untroubled by fear. So optimism is one antidote for fear. Since there are different kinds of fear, there are different kinds of antidotes, and I’ve already mentioned a few.
